Furlong® H-A.C Coated Uncemented Hip System

The Furlong® H-A.C Coated total hip replacement system, introduced into clinical use in 1985, was the first to offer fully hydroxyapatite ceramic coated femoral prostheses. The combination of the unique femoral stem geometry, enabling stable initial primary mechanical fixation to be achieved, with the hydroxyapatite ceramic coating over the full length of the prosthesis providing an intermediary to achieve secondary physiological fixation, has resulted in its well documented clinical success.
